Do You Want To Let The Google Monster Control You?

TAKE BACK CONTROL!

As you can tell I have not done a blog post in quite some time and what has brought me out of hybernation is all the changes happening everywhere around the Internet and I just cannot stand back and just watch anymore!

What Gmail has done is just plain LAME (borderline just plain stupid) on their part and they expect all of us to stand back and just take it while they ‘watch from on high‘ and dictate what we feel and what is important and what is not important.

I’m sure you noticed that Gmail has changed its email inbox interface without your permission. They did not ask me for my opinion, so I bet they didn’t ask you for your’s either!

Google just assumed that they know what is best and that we are just supposed to accept it and say “Ok this is the way it should be“, and “you know best“. Well, I don’t know about you, but I can filter my own emails just fine, and I’m completely capable of judging what I believe is important and what is less important, to me. I don’t really care what’s important to Google, do you?

Their email advertisements still make it to my primary tab, as they like to call it. Well guess what? Google will almost certainly mis-filter my emails to you, along with a HUGE number of other important ones, because they MUST make room for their emails to be ON TOP for me to read them, while all others drop off the face of the page (where they won’t be in Google’s way). This Sucks!

So what do we do about it? How do we stand up and take control again?

Well pay attention! If you want to ensure you get my awesome training emails, videos, and info products / software products in the future, including all my announcements of my HUGE BONUSES and all the great eBooks that I give away, then you must follow what I’m about to share with you now.

 

Take Control Of Your Inbox!

 

1. Open your Gmail now and notice the new “tabbing” setup.

 

1. Click the “Promotions” tab.

 

1. Look for any emails from me [Chris Jenkins] or [Top Dog IM Software] or [Plugins For You].

 

1. If you see one of these, drag it to the “Primary” tab.

 

1. A question will pop up asking if you want this done automatically in the future. Click YES.

 

Let’s all stand up to Gmail and decide for ourselves what is important to us. We have enough people in life dictating what we can and cannot do. We don’t need them in our inbox too!

Google uses the spin that they are making us all more productive well I can tell you how to be more productive and help you acheive your online dreams but guess what I will let you decide if that is important not some algorithm some kid at Google decided he or she prefers. Besides being more productive is not going to make you successful it is DEDICATION & FOCUS that will put you over the top!

Me personally I WILL NOT let them control my inbox but guess what it is YOUR choice but I think you should be informed you are being controlled enough in life why let Big Brother control your personal inbox they already dictate so much including how you rank in the search engines etc etc.

So if you want back your control then…

1. Go to the Settings box in the upper right hand corner of your inbox and choose “Settings.

 

1. Click on the “Inbox” tab, then unselect all categories except “Primary.

 

Now if you have your own subscribers and friends lists, then you might want to tell them about this. Otherwise, your emails to them will likely be buried in the Promotions tab and they won’t see them.

 

Yep It SUCKS!

They will spin this and say if you want to keep people opening your emails then you should build trust and authority etc. and you will end up in the primary tab of the inbox, or people will search you out through the various tabs and find you. I say that is crazy! Why do I want to search for someone that was already in my inbox and who I never needed to search for before? If I want my emails filtered or deleted I can decide that for myself! You may not want to make your own descisions in life, and if so that is your choice, but I hope you choose the latter because I really want to STAY IN TOUCH!
